Close to everything

Madrid is a great city; you can’t possibly get bored, as there’s always something to do. Going out, eating, shopping, going to the cinema, going to a concert or visiting a gallery or museum – whatever you like doing in your free time, you can do it in Madrid.

If you’re a museum aficionado, don’t miss the Prado, the Reina Sofia or the Thyssen; if nature is more your thing, make sure to visit the Retiro, the Parque del Oeste and the wonderful Casa de Campo in the heart of the city.

With so much going on around you, in a new and sometimes overwhelming city, it’s important to have your own space where you can rest, relax and study, a place where you can meet people on your course or that share your hobbies. If there’s one thing Madrid is famous for, it’s the open-air lifestyle, its cheeky Sunday beers and its open-air bars full of people. There are thousands of things to do and lots of people to meet!

Barrio de las Letras – Huertas
This district is home to one of the city’s most famous streets, Calle Huertas. Each paving stone is engraved with the name of a renowned author. It’s also one of the capital’s best spots for night-life; take a wander through its streets, packed with bars and restaurants, to enjoy a night out in Madrid.

Barrio de Malasaña
The district that never sleeps; no matter what time you find yourself in Malasaña, there’s always something going on. In the heart of the city, and only a few steps from Gran Via, you can visit all its bars, pubs and nightclubs and keep the party going all night long.

Barrio de Chueca
The Chueca district became known as a cultural hotspot thanks to the LGTBIQA+ community. In Chueca, you can enjoy not only great nightlife, but also the most diverse restaurants in the city: Mexican, Indian, Japanese, and more. It’s the perfect place to find a good meal in the city.
